Episode 11: Technology, Work & the ‘Right to Disconnect’

How does technology impact on our workplaces? What is the connection between ‘always on’ culture and work related stress? What is the ‘right to disconnect’ and how would it work in practice?

In our latest podcast, we look at these questions and more with Dr Caroline Murphy, Lecturer in Employment Relations in the University of Limerick and Dec Coates, a Sector Committee member with the FSU.  Caroline takes us through the recent FSU report “Technology Work and Skills: The Impact of Technology on Employees” and the ‘right to disconnect’ from work. Dec shares his personal experiences and the importance of  minding your mental health at work.

A big thanks to both Dec and Caroline for joining us.
